Structured Financial Paralegal

Team: Structured Finance    Reports to: The Partner in Structured Finance Purpose of job:Providing key support to BCLP Structured Finance team, particularly its key clients (e.g. Goldman Sachs, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Bank of China).  What’s in it for you?By joining this practice, you will have a leading role in negotiating complex documentation in a fast-paced setting. For Deutsche Bank, Rasheed and associates Iman Roy and Mikhail Kleptsov assisted with complex ISDA and FIA client cleared derivatives documentation and clearing agreements with key buy-side clients. Key responsibilities:• Based on playbooks and established guidelines, negotiating derivatives documentation on behalf of clients such as Goldman Sachs. • Assisting with post completion tasks, including preparing execution bundles. • Helping with research tasks, particularly on new developments within the derivatives industry. • Drafting from precedent documents and compiling client know how. Key relationships:Partners, Senior Associates and Associates in Manchester and London Experience and knowledge We are looking for someone with the following experience:  • Minimum of 3 A Levels (or equivalent) at grade B or above • Law degree (minimum of 2.1) or GDL  • Proven track record of understanding the importance of excellent service delivery to clients  • Experience in data handling and reporting  The following skills are desirable, but not essential: • Legal Practice Course (LPC)  • Previous transactional experience as a Paralegal • French language skills Skills and competencies• Attention to deal, strong grammar and strong drafting skills are key requirements.
