Job Description

Michael Page are working with a private healthcare provider who need agency staff to pick up ad hoc agency work at their surgical hospital in Chester. The hospital is a specialist in orthopaedics, ophthalmology, cosmetic, weight loss and general surgery. This site is based in Chester and they currently require Registered Nurses (RGN) experienced in a surgical outpatient setting to support their shifts on an ad hoc basis. The Healthcare and Nursing team at the service in Chester will work with you to maintain a consistent delivery of person-centred care.
As Staff Nurse (RGN) in their outpatient department you will be required to work 08:00 - 18:00 day shifts. You will be working alongside a team of experts in their respective fields who strive to provide outstanding patient outcomes to those in their care. My client is a prestigious national private hospital group which delivers outstanding levels of care across the UK. The hospital is based just outside of Chester and is easily accessible via car or public transport.

Job Description
As Agency Outpatients Nurse (RGN) in this private surgical hospital, Chester you will be responsible for:

  • Working independently, running own diary & managing a caseload
  • Assessing and supporting the operational team to implement the care, writing person centred care plans & risk assessments
  • Understanding the role of a key worker to nominated patients and acting accordingly
  • Answering the nurse call system promptly and assisting as required
  • Attending and participating in staff meetings
  • Responding compassionately to the emotional demands of supporting patients with medical concerns
  • Reviewing existing clients, ensuring highest levels of care is delivered
  • Communicating regularly with the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team, acting as the client's advocate
  • Auditing, reviewing and maintaining clinical documentation
  • Monitoring and ensuring the delivery of care is clinically suitable & evidence based
  • Teaching, assessing & delegating skills for Healthcare Assistant and Support Workers

As Agency Staff Nurse (RGN) you will be:
  • Compassionate, empathetic and understanding of patient's needs and concerns
  • Confident and competent leading a healthcare team including HCAs and students
  • Up to date with theoretical and clinical advances within the healthcare and nursing industry
  • Available to commit to regular shifts around your lifestyle
The successful Agency Nurse (RGN) will have the following:
  • Active & Valid NMC Pin
  • Clear Enhanced DBS (Children's & Adults)
  • Legal right to live and work in the UK
  • Experience working in a similar setting (hospital)
