It won’t be straight forward and there will be challenges along the way, we are up for it, are you?Role Synopsis:The Material Supply Advisor (Inbound Logistics) partners with our Suppliers and Logistics Service providers to optimise and continuously improve delivery service. This role delivers value by developing and implementing sophisticated Inbound Logistics strategies to optimise physical supply chain.This role will work within central agile team delivering e.g., ways of working, tools and solutions to our businesses globally. Job AdvertKey Accountabilities• Lead development and implementation of functional standards for area of responsibility (Inbound Logistics).• Handle Inbound Logistics visibility centre service delivery in alignment with business priorities and strategic objectives • Provide expert advice to internal/external partners and ensure all activity and relevant reporting are align with business strategy.• Support management of key global relationships for inbound logistics & stabilize inbound logistics performance globally.• Network management and optimization down to individual distribution centre level to achieve the optimal balance service and risk level, operational cost and efficient investment.• Management of 4P and 3P Logistics Service providers’ performance in accordance with agreed scope of service.• Deploy performance management framework focusing on large transactional volume vendors within each region (including performance KPI’s, contract management support, handling non-performance, etc.). • Improve commercial and contracting support for material contracts to improve supplier fulfilment & performance.• Use lean principles to support continuous improvement in the physical supply chain by focusing on clear customer value, applying value stream mapping where appropriate, improving the quality of demand signals, creating flow & eliminating waste, and relentlessly striving for perfection.Essential Education:• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or other relevant technical field.Essential Experience and Job Requirements: • Ability to lead multi-regional, multi-stakeholder initiatives.• Skilful application of deep experience in physical supply chain management (Materials Management, Procurement, Category Management, and Supplier Performance).• Knowledge of SAP functionality (e.g., work management, materials management, inventory management, warehouse management, mobility, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), inbound logistics, staging, SRM purchase orders.• Proven experience in Supply Chain Management• Proven experience of leading projects or activitiesDesirable Criteria:• Deep working experience handling performance of, or operating at, logistics service providers such as carriers, 3PL’s, 4PL’s, or distribution network managers.• Experience in at least one progressive material-led supply chain industries (High tech, Auto, Consumer Product, etc).EntityFinanceJob Family GroupProcurement & Supply Chain Management GroupRelocation availableNoTravel requiredYes - up to 10%Time TypeFull timeCountryUnited KingdomAbout BPFINANCEJoin us in a crucial time of transition.
