An overview of the role: First, and foremost, you will help clients optimise their supply chain operations by critically evaluating logistical processes for strengths and weaknesses and recommending tailor-fitted solutions, from small fixes to massive restructuring. You will support and help to lead the Logistics design and operational delivery of transformative supply chain solutions for leading multi-channel retail and consumer product companies. In order to achieve this growth ambition, we are recruiting high calibre supply chain Senior Consultants and Consultants with Logistics Operations experience to bring new ideas and perspectives into our team and the work we do. You must be an expert at logistics management using data analysis and strategic thinking to strengthen a company’s logistics operations. You must excel at troubleshooting inefficiencies, coordinating complex processes, and collaborating with employees to execute changes in operations. As consultants, we may work with several companies simultaneously, dividing our time between staying in an office and visiting client warehouses or production sites. Why you? You will have experience working in the field of logistics operations either as a consultant or within an industry role (or as a mix of both). • You will bring experience in logistics transformation and evaluate on how to improve logistics processes, for multichannel/omnichannel operations in the Retail and Consumer Products industry sector. You will have demonstrable experience across a representative sample of the following:- • Strategic thinking – have the ability to analyse problem areas in a company’s operations, using strategic thinking to devise a concrete plan that takes into account various factors including risk, existing resources, and cost of implementation • Communication skills – proven interaction with suppliers, company employees, and customers on a regular basis. • Organisation skills – have the ability to monitor several processes at the same time and supply accurate details reducing major delays and wasted resources • Customer service – be able to understand the concerns of customers, demonstrating a positive attitude, and taking swift action to resolve issues with operations • Drawing from your logistics expertise and industry knowledge, you will have developed cost-effective solutions to make procedures more efficient. • Proven implementation of change management within the logistics supply chain • Operational management of transport and warehouse functions • Experienced with logistics software applications and usage (TMS/WMS/Control Towers) Personal attributes: • You have a passion and understanding for transformation in a digital world, with a thirst for thinking ‘what is next’. • You are focussed on ensuring new solutions deliver sustainable results within supply chain operations • You bring a solid track record of successful project delivery, capable of working independently as well as in teams in our collaborative but sometimes demanding project environment. • You have a passion for development, coaching others and improving performance. • You identify business issues, developing possible solutions and may have some experience in selling work to clients. • You possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and efficiently across all levels of Capgemini, client and 3rd party organisations. • You demonstrate professionalism, flexibility and resilience – being able to adjust positively to situations that involve changing tasks and/or location, shifting priorities or ambiguity. • You’re able to articulate your views on the future of logistics, and the retail & CPG sectors in general.
