Legal Contract Manager

About the teamThe FIS Legal team is comprised of approximately 200 lawyers and other legal professionalsworldwide who enjoy being an advisor to and partner with our businesses to help the company achieveits goals. We work collaboratively with each other and with our business colleagues to solveproblems in an effective and pragmatic manner. We view our role as one of supporting our businessleaders in a variety of legal matters, and we strive to assist our businesses in meeting theirobjectives with sound, reasonable and well-considered legal counsel.What you will be doingYou will be responsible for reviewing and preparing contract documentation with commercial clientsof the company, principally financial institutions and other business entities. You will providesupport to lawyers and others on the Legal team. You will research issues that arise in the contextof commercial contracts and information technology services in areas that include softwarelicensing, data security, privacy and regulatory matters.You will also: review and prepare a wide range of software and information technology agreements including software/SaaS agreements, professional services contracts, "add-ons"/amendments, non-disclosure/confidentiality agreements (NDAs) and other information services agreements for FIS products and services provided to financial institutions and other business entities support sales teams and business colleagues on legal issues relating to FIS products and services review contract documents to ensure adherence to company practice and requirements and conformance to master agreements What you bring: You must have a University degree, preferably in Law or other related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience that is required for the specific job level. You must have a minimum of 5 years of corporate working experience in a legal environment. You must possess knowledge of and experience with the principles involved in drafting commercial contracts, preferably software licenses and other information technology agreements. You must have strong analytical skills, including the ability to review and evaluate multi-faceted issues. You must have strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with customers, lawyers and business colleagues. This includes the ability to draft contracts and other legal communications. You must have strong computer skills and be comfortable with technology and the use of technology tools in performing your daily work responsibilities. You must be willing to learn new information technology systems with ease. You must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, colleagues and opposing counsel, and be able to work collaboratively with other team members, both within the Legal team and in other groups. You must have good time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with both legal and non-legal professionals. Added bonus if you have: Experience or expertise in the information technology industry, or in working closely with financial institutions on their technology matters.
