As a result of our continued ground breaking growth in EMEA, Salesforce is hiring a Commercial Legal Counsel to join our EMEA Commercial Legal team, based in our office in London and with the ability to work remotely partially. Role Description: We are looking for a passionate, high-performing, results-oriented Commercial Legal Counsel who will play a key role in supporting Salesforce's EMEA Sales and Professional Services organizations in negotiating transactions and commercial agreements in the UK and Ireland. This position will provide the primary day to day support for regional sales teams and leadership with regards to commercial legal matters. Main Responsibilities: Establish yourself as a primary day to day legal contact for internal customers and act as their trusted advisor in order to deliver high quality and pragmatic legal advice in an efficient manner. Draft, negotiate and review complex legal agreements such as master subscription agreements, professional services agreements, public frameworks, alliances and resale agreements, data processing agreements and ordering documents, and handle associated legal issues, all whilst actively contributing to a trusted relationship with our customers. Provide support in answering public market surveys, RFIs and RFPs. Closely partner with other functions within Salesforce (including strategy and operations, privacy, security, revenue recognition, pricing and compliance) to allow Salesforce's continuous growth in line with Salesforce's business requirements, policies, goals and vision. Lead and coordinate discussions with external law firms as needed. Actively participate in various cross-regional and cross-functional team projects identifying and reviewing process and legal innovations. Contribute to the Commercial Legal teams' ongoing development of knowledge, skills and processes. Assist in developing training materials and provide training to the business on relevant legal topics and best practices. Look after yourself, your colleagues and the company's interests in everything you do. Required Qualifications, Experience & Skills: Legally qualified in the UK. Proven track record at a reputable law firm and/or fast paced in-house legal department. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Outstanding legal drafting and negotiation skills, with attention to detail and strong legal and analytic reasoning. Strong knowledge of Data Protection law (including GDPR). Demonstrated IT/cloud contract negotiation and drafting experience. Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced, client-oriented culture with excellent judgement and ability to prioritize and manage deadlines. Calm under pressure and able to provide thoughtful recommendations. Team spirited and collaborative attitude. Highly Desirable Experience & Skills: Transactional experience with public sector customers. Understanding of, and experience in, public sector procurement rules and responding to tenders.
