This client just outside Manchester is part of a nationwide private hospital group which delivers outstanding levels of care across the UK. The group provides private healthcare with access to a world class team of healthcare specialists who provide a comprehensive catalogue of treatments. The hospital is well-known for their pioneering orthopaedic, ophthalmic, and cosmetic procedures. The Healthcare and Nursing team at this service in the North West are made up of Nurses, ODPs, Scrub, Physiotherapists, and other allied health care professionals who you will work alongside to provide a consistent delivery of individualised, person-centred care.

Job Description
As Agency Theatre Practitioner (Scrub, Recovery, Anaesthetics) in this private hospital in the North West you will be responsible for:

  • Assessing and supporting the operational team to implement the care, writing person centred care plans & risk assessments
  • Acting as a link between the surgical team and other parts of the hospital
  • Preparing specialist drugs and equipment including anaesthetic machine and IV equipment
  • Providing appropriate treatment to patient until they recover from anaesthesia effects or surgery
  • Communicating regularly with the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team, acting as the patient's advocate
  • Auditing, reviewing and maintaining clinical documentation
  • Monitoring and ensuring the delivery of care is clinically suitable & evidence based
The Successful Applicant
The successful Agency Operating Department Practitioner will have the following:
  • Active & Valid NMC/HCPC Registration
  • Clear Enhanced DBS (Children's & Adults)
  • Legal right to live and work in the UK
  • Experience working in a similar setting
As Agency Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) you will be:
  • Compassionate, empathetic and understanding of patient's needs and potential distress at requiring surgery
  • Confident and competent working as part of a broad multidisciplinary team of healthcare staff
  • Up to date with theoretical and clinical advances within the healthcare and nursing industry
  • Available to commit to regular shifts around your lifestyle
